Obviously, I'm not much of a blogger
I apologize. TechEd is just overwhelming. If you want the real scoop, you'll have to drop by www.techedbloggers.net. There you'll find some real bloggers, not like us blogging wimps.
I spent most of the first three days at Tech Ed preparing for the one session I had, showing off Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office (time spent mostly internalizing and cleaning up demos--when you demonstrate beta software, you spend a lot of time making sure you can carve a path through the product without bringing it down). I only went to a few talks--old friend and now Microsoft employee Mike Hernandez gave an intro talk on the same subject, only to fight with multiple blue screens. He handled it valiantly. Partner Andy Baron gave an inspiring talk on using Access 2003 and Sharepoint together--see the slides and demos. I had to miss Brian Randell's session on programming Virtual Server, but I'm sure it was a smash.
For some real fun, you can watch the TechEd podcasts--they caught me for one minute after my session, and I quickly directed them to B.J. Holtgrewe, the senior VSTO product manager, who was conveniently standing a few feet away. Escaped. Phew.
